Sitting in Crackington Haven at the lovely Coombe Barton Inn on a gloriously sunny-but-not-hot day. The fairly predictable amount of travel ups and downs since leaving home…ghastly traffic to Seatac, OK security lines, good flight with plenty of sleep (business class wins!), terrible immigration lines at Heathrow, barely caught our train to Exeter, misty drizzly weather en route, mundane stay at Premier Inn. This is the view out of the hotel bedroom window toward Exeter St Davids station.
This morning, we had a lovely wander around Exeter in perfect weather. Then met up with a mystery angel who had offered us a ride to Crackington Haven. Lovely woman and a stunning drive. She showed us bits of the path either side of our start point–challenging terrain ahead, but I’m feeling pretty confident it will be OK.
Drone preparation now underway…
